Edinburgh Shield 2025

Another fantastic weekend was had by all that attended. After a slow start, we then collected two wins before having to battle the dominant team, Ocean Grove. We made them fight hard for the win, with two rinks up, and only going down by nine shots. (After the five games they were over 120 shots up).
The usual barbecue was held on Friday night, with the normal shenanigans taking place. But a settled team faced up the next morning to do battle.
Saturday night at the Moama Bowling club was excellent, with a few AFL diehards needing to watch the nights game.
Sunday saw a victory over Waverley RSL followed by the fantastic fight against Ocean Grove.
A great weekend was had, with “what happens at Echuca stays in Echuca”.
There was a momentous finale when Duncan handed over his manager duties, after 20 years. Well done Duncan. Your service and management over the years has been well appreciated by all.
